It is all very well putting surety levels on sources, it’s surety levels on interpretation of the sources that is my worry. I know that parish records are a primary source but the quality is only as good as the person entering the info. How do I know if this John Smith is correct and the one baptized in the next parish isn’t the one. At least 10% were not baptized there may have been yet another one. None of this is anything to do with the surety of the source. I would like to be able to show on the family view my level of certainty of the evidence. Something along the line of a colour for that whole line which may or may not be correct. Sue A
