Mike, I am actually surprised that you can add any individuals at all. Family Search 'deactivated' the old interface API to newFamilySearch on June 30, and that's the API that Legacy is still using to the best of my knowledge. (I think the API still 'works' in the sense that you can view, and maybe even download, data but I don't think it's possible to upload anything.)
Family Search has moved on to Family Tree, replacing newFamilySearch. Legacy announced mid-June that they had been certified to use the new interface, and that there would be an update by the end of June. We are still waiting.
