Go to the Marriage Information window for Male 1 and Female 2 - you have
a box to check that says "This couple did not marry", as well as the
Wording Options tab where you can choose how you will describe their
relationship in words that feel appropriate to you.

I'm not married to my partner - it's been 25 years now, we're not in a
rush. :-) As well as that box checked, the status of our relationship
set to "Common Law".

In the Wording Options tab in Legacy I have it set to say that we "had a
relationship with" each other. The spouse (at the bottom of the window)
is also set to be called a Partner, and the "marriage" is called a
Partnership.

Choose the words/phrases that suit you for your situation.

You could see what effect marking the "marriage" as Private to see if
that removes the names from the Spouse List.

Hope this helps. :-)

Wendy
