I'm sorry for being unclear.
I was attempting to add sources to an individual record prior to exiting.
When clicking on the icon to save source clipboard to all used fields I
began getting the error message.  I ran mile maintenance with no success
(the  error continued to occur)

This morning with a clear head, I did what was probably the obvious and
deleted the source clipboard contents.  Problem solved.
