Roxanne, I use it to record the date that I added the new source. Many people just leave it blank. I am a little OCD with fill-in-the-blank forms so I like to fill it out :) I like knowing when I added the sources.

Dear Group; I realize after doing research for decades that I am not at all certain what "recorded date" means. In this case, I am referring to when I am adding master sources to my files. At the bottom of the window, there is a field for the "recorded date." Does this mean the date on which I am adding the source? Or the date of the publication/webpage/copyright? Or something altogether different?
