The .Rc3 file is a subordinate file created by Legacy when you set relationships. This file contains all the calculated relationships. There are other of these subordinate files created by Legacy which can be included in the backup as well. This will depend on the number of check marks you have filled in on the backup screen and whether you have done anything in Legacy to create these files.
Windows can confuse you because it insists on displaying a .zip FILE in the folders column in Windows explorer as if it was a sub-folder of the folder where the .zip file is stored. The .zip file is the file Legacy creates when you backup your family file.
