Paul, The first thing I did was to minimze the Ribbon bar - you'll find that makes a *big* difference in the font sizes.
Right click on the menu (where the ribbon names are) and select "Minimize the Ribbon" If that helps, go to Options > Customize and in option 1.4, select "Start with ribbon minimized". The option on the interface is temporary. Another thing you can do is click on Design (upper right corner), select Font and then select Large or Extra Large. That enlarges the buttons on the ribbon bar. But you'll find just having the ribbon bar minimized makes a world of difference. When you click on a tab, the ribbon drops down over the Parents and you can select your options.
