In my eyes, Legacy can convert coordinates back and forth as it sees
fit. I would rather see a more comforting way to input coordinates. I
spend the summer to give every of my 2400 places in my database a
coordinate. The US places worked fine as expected, but for Europe ... I
gave up and used the Internet.
It would be nice to have a little bit of automatic conversion. In almost
all cases you find
coordinates like "39.913889, 116.391667" or "39° 54′ 50″ N, 116° 23′
30″
E" or "54.1543°N 9.6781°E". That is nothing Regular Expressions can't
handle, so just copy&paste or drag&drop coordinates into the Conversion
Helper or already into the "Latitude and Longitude" section should be
enough to convert them into Legacy's DDMMSS.xxx system.
