I have been following this thread and trying all the methods mentioned to scroll the list and none of them seem to work consistently. There is clearly a problem here and I'm sure that the developers will resolve it ... eventually. However, there may be a kludgy solution if you have appropriate mouse hardware. I have a Logitech mouse and Setpoint driver software A solution which works for me is to set the scroll wheel to Autoscroll. (I've never heard of it until this afternoon when I was checking mouse options). If you hover the mouse over a child and click the mouse wheel then you get a 4-pointed cross, release the wheel and move the mouse around to scroll, in any direction. and a second click of the mouse wheel takes it out of that mode.
