I don't know why you have to "add in the extra details ..." as you say
you do.  For Births I use the template Birth records>Birth
certificate>England>Birth certificate, index>Online database and the
Source Details includes fields named Volume, Page, Registration month,
Registration Year and Registration District and there are similar ones
for Death and Marriage.  They also have a field named Credit Line which
includes the text "citing the General Register Office's England and
Wales Civil Registration Indexes" by default.
