The online Support offers this advice on uninstalling:

2. Or, open the Start menu and go to the list of all programs on your computer.
Open the Legacy 8.0 folder and click on "Uninstall Legacy 8.0".
3. Or, optionally you can browse to C:\Program Files\Legacy8\RemoveLegacy.exe
and run the uninstall tool.

On the Start>All programs>Legacy 8 listing, there is no folder, only
the shortcut to start the program, on my machine. If that's everyone else's
experience, this should be changed.
But the alternative suggestion, 3.--if you aren't missing the
install.log--works well.
The Control Panel route sometimes fails, erasing the install.log. If
it does, re-install, and follow 3. above.
