Yes.  This is a carryover issue from 7.5.

I don't think this is specific to Legacy 8 as I am getting exactly the same in 
Legacy 7.5 DeLuxe in the Namelist and the Events window.
However, in the main edit screens for notes or events the formatting shows as 
it should.
