I wonder if you could export it to "GEDCOM for FTM 16" (2006 Version). FTM 16 was prior to when the entire FTM program was changed starting with Version 2008. FTM 16 had a better way of handling images and it might just export the paths to the images. Just a thought.

To make a Gedcom file in FTM I have to choose GEDCOM 5.5 (standard) and you’ll see from the image below that the option to include media files is greyed out. So I need a workaround of some kind???
