While merging duplicate Individuals recently one, RIN 30749 had an 1854 baptism which the other did not. I merged 30749 into the other, copying baptism and it's source resulting in 30749 being deleted.
A few days later a File Maintenance resulted in: There are 3 Individual Vital Event record(s) that link to a master event that does not exist: ======================================================== Individual RIN=22199, Role=Godfather. The Event has been removed. Individual RIN=22200, Role=Godmother. The Event has been removed. Individual RIN=0, Role=Clergy. The Event has been removed. I relinked the godparents to the same 1854 baptiism and all is well. But if my grand niece had been added, gotten RIN 30749, and baptized before the file maint she might have had her 5th great grand aunt for godmother. -- Richard Van Wasshnova Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
