You are not alone in having this problem! In Legacy 7 it would notify me of
a new build; not so in Legacy 8. When I raised this issue before on this
list, support told me that I had to close Legacy for the notification to be
made. I started doing just that (previously I would let Legacy run for days
at a time) and did NOT get notified that 381 was available except on this
list! When I clicked on "Check for updates" it said there was one. I did
not follow up; rather, I closed Legacy, shut down my computer, restarted
everything. Still no notification. I then did update with no problem. But,
the notification does not work for me either.

I now check frequently. I do wonder how many others have this problem?
