Interestingly, even if you copy the text from the screen and paste it into a
word processor, it comes out looking very much like the report.

But you can then fiddle with the layout (change orientation to landscape and
select a smaller font, and adjust the tab stops) to get pretty close to the
screen layout.

Having done that, I went back into Legacy and under Display Options, I was able
to make the comparable changes and get a report that looked pretty close to the
screen display.

Key items: Report Options tab: deselect Timeline column

Page Setup: Select Landscape

Change Fonts: Set Labels and Data to 8

Space lines at 130 (I found this helped make
things feel a little less crowded)

Column Widths tab: set Date and Event
column widths to 1.25

You can fiddle with these and the other settings to suite your preferences.

Another alternative would be a screen capture such as Evernote.

that appears to have worked - although both reports print identical - is that
normal?

I wanted a simple timeline like what I see on the screen - both printouts look
identical to the chronology report from the individual / family report

Am I missing something, or just mis-interpreting what I thought I'd be getting

Kathy and Kurt,

I just printed with no problem both using the Report Style and the List Style.
Try going to Options > Display Options > Reset and then try printing again.

I get the same result. The Options->Print function prints a blank page.
Definitely a bug.

If you click on the Options button, then Report, you get a nice preview and you
can print from there.

Viewing the Chronology tab for a person - lots of info on screen

Options > Print

Printer spits out a completely blank piece of paper

Have I missed something about a bug with this?

Or am I "doing it wrong"?
