Anne: Are you trying to use v7.5 to open the 7.5 files? It should work.
Are you trying to use v8.0 to open the 7.5 files? I’m not sure, but don’t think that will work. Have you converted your files from 7.7 to 8.0 and then trying to open them in 7.5?
