It might be quicker to export John Doe to a new
file and edit him there to have the facts of just one of them - say John Doe 1.
I think it's probably quicker to delete events rather than copy and paste them.
Edit the John Doe in the main file to have the
other facts - he becomes John Doe 2.
Import John Doe 1 back to the main file and mark them as not duplicates.
