So if I chose to use group 2 colors for my direct line they wont print in pedigree charts and family group sheets?

Tools - Set Ancestor Colours. For Pedigree View to show colours you need to check Options - Customise - View (8.3 in Legacy 8; look for it on the View Tab in Legacy 7) Note in Legacy 8 you can set 8 colours and set them for two different lines but only four colours for the Group 1 line show in reports.
