Ross,

This shouldn’t be a problem at all. I have several cases in my personal family
file where a man married sisters (well, in your case he wasn’t actually married
to them). Two things, you only entered the boyfriend once but linked him
twice, correct? You don’t want to make two entries of the boyfriend. If you
added children to the relationship make sure you have the “Show ½ Kids” off or
you might get confused.

If there is only one boyfriend (one RIN number) and you are still having a
problem, I would unlink him from everyone and then go back and link him to the
first sister and then to the second sister.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Duplicate

I am having an issue that I have no idea to resolve, on my spouse's side of the
family her mother and her mother's boyfriend had a son together, her mothers
boyfriend also had a relationship with her mothers sister that produced a
child, when I add the first relationship there is no problem, but when I try to
add this man to a relationship with her mothers sister that is when all the
trouble starts. I get duplicates with the second family, I try to delete the
duplicate but then the parties involved are unlinked...AGHHH, will I have to
make a duplicate of the guy who caused this issue or is there a fix?

Thanks

Ross
