Hi Keith,
Perhaps you are importing a gedcom into an existing Legacy file. I suggest importing the gedcom into a new Legacy file, editing it there, then importing/merging that file into your current one. The usual 'backup before' caution holds here as well. By creating a new file you have the opportunity to do it over again if you do have issues. Once edited you can have the current and the new files side by side and do your merging from there. I know that there is no perfect import but is there settings that someone has found to minimize the number of issues after import? thanks Keith Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
