Hi Keith There are some tips on Gedcom options when moving from another program to Legacy on the Legacy Web pages. Some are options to use when exporting the Gedcom and others on importing. On the Web page see the Help Centre - then How to Import Files from other Programs. It lists a number of programs, I'm not sure which program you're working with but it will give you some ideas if your particular program isn't listed.
Bob's advice to always import into a new file so that it's easy to do it again with different options if necessary is always the way to go.
