Perhaps that is the problem. It is rather unfortunate as I do love Legacy and the interface. I would rather go back to Version 7 which worked quickly and smoothly. I don't even mind using the menu buttons if I have to. I have gotten quite used to using the button for adding children when I used to just click or right click, but cannot do that for disconnecting children or spouses. It is most frustrating having to click a dozen times or more waiting and wondering if it will work.
Hopefully one of the smart Legacy techs will come up with a solution. Oh yes, I compact and run file maintenance almost daily.
