I have tested and confirmed this is a problem when converting a Version
6.0 Database directly to version 8.0. A problem report has been
submitted to have this fixed.

I was able to convert a version 6 file to version 7 without the
conversion to uppercase problem. That version 7 file was then converted
to version 8 without problem.

If you wish send a backup of your original version 6.0 file to
[email protected] with the subject line "Legacy 6 to 8
conversion". I will use the two step conversion to create a version 8
copy with mixed case details. If you do not want to send me your file
you can download a copy of version 7 to convert the file yourself in two
steps. copies of older versions of Legacy are available here:

That will only fix the original file though, you will have lost all your
additions since your update to version 8.0
