I guess I don't understand what Help topic you're referring to. Please give us the number in the lower left corner ot the topic.
The topic for Pedigree View doesn't show boxes at all. It's possible that some of the screen shots from 7.5 didn't get updated in the Help file for v8. You've never been able to remove the Pedigree boxes - if they're empty, they're still there.
