A search and replace in a tagged subset is needed and would be a great feature.
The only way to do it with the current program would be to export the tagged
subset to another Legacy file, do the search and replace there, then use
Intellishare merge to combine the subset back into the main file.

Please provide more detail on how you are able to use the tag to limit a Search
and Replace operation.  I don't see anything on the Search and Replace screen
that allows for a compound search.  There's only the Field to Search, the Text
to Search for, and the Replacement Text, and some basic options.

Thanks

Leon, use tagging.  At the bottom of the original search list there is an
"options, advanced tagging" where you can give everyone in the search list a
tag (one that you have not used before or clear an existing one).
You can then use the tag number as part of your next search where individual
tag# equals tagged.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Find and Replace

Hello,

Is it possible to run a "Find and Replace" process against the results of a
previously prepared "Search List".

If so, could someone please point me to the relevant section in the help files.

So Many Thanks,

Leon
