Are you sure you're doing things correctly? This does not apply to those pieces
of media that have been attached to Sources or Source citations.

Take an Individual and show the Information window.
Select an existing event and click Edit.
Click on the normal Pictures icon (two people in a picture frame).

[You now have the Media gallery for the event.]

Click on Add Media
Select the type of media
[if you select Picture you get an extra Display Picture window]
Navigate to your piece of media. select it and press the Open button.
When finished manipulating the picture, press the Close button.
Can add further bits of Media.
When finished, press the Close button.
Save the Event
Voila!
