Hi Priscilla,
If you are wanting to add a wife to a man in your file,
go to the man (in Family View)
click in the (wife) window to the right of the man (it says "Click to
add person')
choose 'Add a NEW person'
enter the wife's information
and you are done.
'Link' is different from 'Add'. I believe you simply want to 'Add' a wife to
an existing man, so I won't get into the difference in this reply.
I hope this is answering you question.
Bob

Subject: [LegacyUG] Adding a spouse
I would like to add a wife to a man in my family tree. This is a first wife.
It seems that I cannot just type in the name...is that correct?
I have already put in the marriage date because I thought that might make it
easier to understand how to do this. Yes, I have looked at help, but did not
understand any of that either.
When I try to add the wife, I get a box asking if I want to add a new person or
link to an existing person. I want to link to the husband who is already in my
family tree...but I want to add a new person. Which one do I choose??
Thanks,
Priscilla
