You must have misunderstood the webinare you watched. When you have an EVENT with a source included and use the EVENT CLIPBOARD to paste the event to someone then the source for that event will be linked to the new person along with the event. Just adding a person however will not add any sources to them unless you paste those sources from the SOURCE CLIPBOARD before you save the person. Note that the Event Clipboard and the Source Clipboard are two different things and neither are the same as the Windows clipboard functions.
To paste sources from the Source clipboard use the singe - or triple - buttons. The single - button adds the current clipboard contents to a single event/fact while the triple - button adds the source to everything that has been entered including events.
