In the Master Location List, go to Options > Expand/Contract Location Parts.

There's a selection to expand the locations, which will change TX to Texas.

However you must have those locations in the four part format of city/town,
county, state, country, with commas for missing elements otherwise this
feature won't find them all correctly.

You don't need to back up because you can undo by contracting location
parts <g>.

However, Bob gave some good info on the Search Replace feature, including
the backup warning and confirming each change.
