Personally, I would use Legacy export rather than GEDCOM. You could then open
the exported db & delete the parts he doesn't want... maybe using LTools?
Well, I would at least look into doing that. I guess it depends on how much
effort you've put into things that get lost in a GEDCOM, like sourcewriter
citations. --P

Ann,

Normally you'd use the Legacy Export to export a selection of people to a new
file, but that export includes all data in the file.

You'll need to do a gedcom export. In the Gedcom Export window, click on
Customize and in the "Groups of items to EXCLUDE from Export" section, select
the items you don't want to include.

On the main Gedcom Export window, click on Record Selection to select the Focus
Group.

The only drawback is that sources will be imported in the Basic format, but all
the source data should be there.

Sincerely,
Sherry

A cousin has lost his Legacy data. He asked me to send him one individual and

list. He would like it sent on a flash drive or email. He uses Legacy and would
like it in a format that he could import as he does not type very well.
