It should not synch open files. Yes I'm successfully using GoogleDrive, for as you say the smaller price for increased file storage. My first few attempts ended in frustration, and if you wade through the List Archives you'll see a few posts from me about my difficulties. It seems to me most folk are using Dropbox, or that was my conclusion after my post back then. Don't want to teach you to suck eggs Scott, and sorry for the basic first question: Are you using the latest version of GoogleDrive; I'm using 1.17.7290.4094 ? I spent quite a time searching for helpful posts within the newsgroups, which of course you may have done. >From memory my solution came about after a drastic relocation of my Legacy Datafiles. I re-created my GoogleDrive, and had this in C:\GoogleDrive. Then I just added subdirectories a-la C:\GoogleDrive\Legacy8 and the obvious next changes C:\GoogleDrive\Legacy8\Data and ditto for PIctures and the Video sub-directories. Yes it took a long while to wait for the pictures to upload, but it only happens once and from then on it'll only make the changes on new additions. I frequently check GoogleDrive online and verify the file size on my bigger data file, and of course the file date too. Stopping and restarting the Drive is a frequent solution offered, but it didn't solve anything for me. Will keep a look-out for replies.
