Olwyn, I am glad the webinars were a help :) If you are talking about the Source List Name this is totally up to you. You need to name your sources in such a way that they make sense to you and you will be able to find them. What you don’t want to happen is to add another Master Source when you already have it. Geoff titles his by descending locations which mirrors his filing system on his computer. I title mine completely differently. I do mine by type of record and then by location. I also have my filing system on my computer set up by record type so it makes sense to me. As to why Geoff doesn’t start his off by country I can’t say. He will have to answer that one :) If you send me an email to the email below I will send you a screenshot of how I have mine set up so that you can compare it to Geoff’s. I am sure that there are other people on the list that use a completely different system than either of us do that works just well. All that matters is that it makes sense to you.

I have recently downloaded and started using L8. When I read this email back in April I flagged it as a "must watch", I did so today. In 2011 I had watched the Webinars on adding a Marriage Record and Death Certificate. Both of which immensely improved my process. This "Sources and Citations.... " is so helpful and well worth the watch. And.... I will stop thinking about how much work they are (sometimes). Love the ability to print the source label. Just 1 question. With the source title you do not precede the State with the country name yet you file documents in country folders. Any reason why you do not put USA, England, Canada in the first position? Or do you enter if it is any other than the USA? Thank you Geoff and Michele. Date: Wed, 23 Apr 2014 16:12:30 -0400 Elizabeth, Take a look at this FREE webinar from Geoff… Sources and Citations Made Simple, Standard and Powerful http://www.familytreewebinars.com/download.php?webinar_id=201 There is also a handout you can download. I think this webinar will answer most of your questions. You will get to see Geoff actually entering sources and citations so it might make more sense to you. I think that most, if not all, of your questions will be answered.
