Sybil, I ain't gone yet, but thanks for the kind words.
I hope to be back in full swing again by February (after I return from my Christmas/New Year hols. in Spain.) Cathy has been on this list longer than I, and I learned a lot from her when I first started over ten years ago (sorry to age us, Cathyp!). Legacy is not good with recording and utilizing DNA results. In fact I cannot see what it can do other than act as a repository, which is all I use it for. If you study the DNA forums even the experts in the field admit that comparisons, particularly with atDNA, are difficult. I am by no means an expert in DNA analysis, but am reasonably competent at Maths and regularly see so called matches being claimed using very dodgy maths, and ignoring probability theory. Although I have done little for over a year, except read, I think that DNA results need to be supported by conventional genealogy. I have not tried Legacy to do this, and to me the obvious is to store the terminal SNP, or whatever comparator, in a searchable field, then use the Legacy searches to find matches.
