Hi Charles, Wasn't I clear enough?
If the website is in a Legacy frame, then it is a version of IE. Otherwise your browser of choice will open. You can get Chrome to open from Research Guidance but not from the tab you were using to access the Ancestral File. The errors for the Ancestral File may be due to the fact that the Ancestral File has been superseded by the FamilySearch Family Tree.
