GEORGE I run Legacy on my iMac using Parallels ... to be compatible with Legacy on my wife's Windows machine. From time to time I dump everything to a GEDCOM so I can put it on my iPad & iPhone in read-only format. There are many low cost iOS apps that will accept a GEDCOM and display the results.
Things do not stay 'in sync' of course but my mobile devices are sufficiently accurate for me to haul to the library or the courthouse ... or to pass around when the family gathers. As the saying goes, it works for me!
