I can replicate the overprinting as follows:

Select FGR for a couple with no children, and reset the options.
Then in Report Options, on the Include tab select Events for Marriage
and nothing else.
Preview report.

There are too many possible combinations of other options for me to
check them all, but this seems to be the minimum required to produce the
error.
