I am having issues with locations in Puerto Rico. I have someone that was born in Yauco city (which is in Yauco municipality) in Puerto Rico.
In the Individual's Information dialog window, if I click on the little globe icon to the right of the birth location field (Show Geo Location List), it will then bring up a dialog window with the title "Geo Location Database". If I then enter "Yauco" into the city field and click on the "Search" button, it will then find only 1 record. The format that is placed in both the Core and Core + fields are as follows: "Yauco, , Yauco, Puerto Rico" If I then select one of those, it will return to the previous screen (Individual's Information) and enter the information in the format above. But if I then try to move off the field, I will receive the following message: "There was never a county by the name of Yauco in the state of Puerto Rico. (You should check the spelling or the original source documentation.)" If the data was formatted by Legacy, then why is it complaining? There are four buttons at the bottom of the dialog: "OK", "Show County List", "Online County Maps", "Online County Info". If I click on "Show County List", then another dialog window opens with the title "USA County Verification List" and it will bring me to a list of records starting in the state of Rhode Island. If I then scroll through the data, there are no records for Puerto Rico. I understand that Puerto Rico isn't technically a U.S. state, but why is it bringing me here then? So either something isn't working correctly, or I am misunderstanding something. Why doesn't the Geo Location Database work for Puerto Rico locations? How should a location in Puerto Rico be formatted?
