I found the obvious solution - add the person in question to the existing marriage as a child. Sorry about that! Barton

Legacy only allows you to add one parent at a time to an existing person that has been unlinked from their parents, then when you follow the same procedure to add the other parent, it tells you the parent is already a spouse and prompts you to add them again.
