Margaret,

There is a problem when you use any formatting in the notes, especially when
you use more than one formatting (bold and underline, for example). Several
different things can happen depending on where in the notes the formatting is.
If the first word is double formatted, you will lose all of your notes when you
save them. If the formatting is somewhere else, you will get the formatting
codes. This has all been fixed and the fix will be in the next update which is
due out at any time.

If you have notes that aren’t formatted, and then when you save them you lose
the first word, that is actually an old problem that was fixed and isn’t in
build .473. I can’t reproduce this. If this is the problem you are seeing (and
it is not related to formatting) I will need to ask you some additional
questions and take a closer look at it. You will need to email
[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> and put

Margaret,

The missing word was fixed in a previous update. The bold and underline issue

Go to File > File Properties and tell me what version and date you are using.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Entering Notes into General Tab

I transcribe documents and put them in the "General Tab". However, when I do,
and save them, it loses the FIRST word I enter. It also will not bold or
underline and stay that way, so I have to keep opening the General tab and
redoing the bold and underline.

Is this something that that will be fixed soon?

Thanks

Margaret
