I know we have a choice of where to store images and that either is ok, but I wonder if anyone has any very positive or negative feedback about these options.
I haven't had the vast majority of my images attached in years; I'm sure some sort of error on my part caused the disconnect and I know I can try to reconnect, but I want to make a project out of connecting everything now and I want to make the right choice. I store my working databases in dropbox and always have, and that is where all of my related documents and images reside as well, so it makes sense to me to just stick with that UNLESS someone has a reason that I haven't thought of to do otherwise. I see that I have an option to locate that image and copy it to the legacy folder in one step; that sounds like a great option, except that I believe my database will pull from there instead of dropbox when retrieving the images. Then what would happen if I went to another computer? I wouldn't have the images available there. It seems like that would not be the right thing. I would appreciate any negative feedback about doing this through dropbox too; just so I am aware. For everything else, dropbox has worked great.
