Hi Ramona,

There are other solutions to your error on the website.
Did you try all the steps?

http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/article/AA-00234/11/Error-Messages-Problems/Error-91-Object-variable-or-With-block-variable-not-set.html

Re your backups. A Legacy backup is saved in the folder you specify. To
find where that was see
http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/category/11/0/10/Error-Messages-Problems/
and look for "I made a backup file but I don't know where it was saved."

I'm not sure how you were using your "backup hard drive" presumably an
external drive. Perhaps it was auto backing up your whole computer
rather than you regularly copying files to it?

A Legacy backup file is a .zip file and is Restored in Legacy using File
- Restore. The file can be renamed during the process.

You can uninstall and reinstall Legacy without losing your data -
including using the special RemoveLegacy.exe found in the Legacy Progams
folder.
For full instructions see:

Cheers,
Cathy
