I had exactly the same problem last winter and spent ages and ages trying to resolve it. In the end I installed Legacy on my husband's laptop where it works perfectly, so I think there is some basic problem with my own laptop. I can do most things all right but if I get those Errors again, I just go to the other computer, sort it on that machine and then take the database over to mine with the adjustment made.
I'm hoping that with the new Windows 10 I may find it is all right on mine.
