Barton, It sounds like a good plan to me. Too many old backup files can be confusing and they take up disk space. I try to keep just two or three of the most recent backups. Too many copies of your fdb file saved with slightly different file names (or the same file name but in different folders) can also can problems if a user gets confused about which one is current. Data can get "lost", not by Legacy but because bad file management practices.
