As far as I can see if you enter a "spouse" against an individual - and note that they did not marry - that is when the term "had a relationship with" now appears, which to me makes sense in the wording. You can add as many "partners" against a person and if you note they did not marry the wording comes up the same. The only time the "did not marry" would be required would be if it was known that an individual never had a wife or a partner, then to me it would be important to know this - I have an Aunt whom I know never married but I know she had a "relationship" with someone but I have yet to find out who he was. Having "no relationships" against her does not bring up warning bells that I am still looking for a partner. I quite realise I can make a "to do" item for this but I like to see things on the screen itself as I am hunting online. Just my two penneth.
