Hello Jenny
Thanks for the comments.
I tried exporting to a new file to no avail, but the other measures will make
changes
and will lose data; that is why I was wondering what "change the data in the
field" and
"remove the index" referred to.
Is that something I could do or is it too technical?
I know where the picture is that caused the problem and wonder if deleting the
picture
would help or hinder the problem.
Has there been a problem renaming a photo that is already attached to several
people ?

will tell you what to do if you encounter Error 3022.

All the solutions to common numbered error messages are listed if you go
to the Legact Home tab, click on Online Troubleshooting Help and select
Error Messages and Problems. That should always be your first port of call.
