If you've still got your original file, make that the main database. Rename the other one to "Research", and start checking. You can give records tags for "OK", "Need more checking" "Dubious" and "Wrong". Export the OK ones to a Gedcom and import them into the main file, then work through the ones that need further checking, and see what you can use. Export them and move them. Leave the other stuff in the research file, and add other new stuff to it that may be doubtful -- Gedcoms you receive from other people etc. . -- Keep well, Steve Hayes Blog: http://hayesgreene.wordpress.com Web: http://www.khanya.org.za/famhist1.htm E-mail: [email protected] --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://support.legacyfamilytree.com Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
