Jay,
When going from Legacy to Legacy ALWAYS use a Legacy file (and if it's
your own file, remember to include things that have been marked Private.
The only exception is if for some reason you are going to an earlier
version of Legacy.

Also, since the files have the same origin, with a Legacy file you can
use Intellishare merge.

Brian gave a very full answer but I don't think he mentioned Intellishare.
