I am looking for a way to expand the range of states, provinces and
counties that are available to be used in the Master Locations > Options
 > Expand/Contract location parts function.

The /Preview a //l//ist of Codes/names/ gives the corresponding long and
short names for the US states and territories, Canadian provinces,
Brazilian states, and the counties for Ireland (but not Northern
Ireland), England, Scotland, Wales, and Channel Islands (which here
include Isle of Man, a Crown dependency, and Isle of Wight, an English
county). There is also a collection of randomly sorted country long and
short form names. Are these the only locations and short forms used in
this Expand/Contract function or are there more?

Are these lists able to be amended or extended? Is there an accessible
file of these long and short namesor are they hard wiredinto the program?

The GeoCountryCodes.txt, GeoStatesCodes.txt and the GeoCountyCodes.txt
files appear to all be part of the main GeoDB function. The
GeoCountyCodes include the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and N Ireland)
county codes, GB (England, Scotland, Wales) counties and Ireland's
counties. GeoStatesCode.txt file includesUS states, Canadian and Mexican
provinces, English, Scottish, Welsh, and Northern Ireland (but not
Irish) counties, Australian state codes, and other data for Germany and
the Scandinavian countries.

These Geocode files seem to be curious mixtures of data, but they do not
appear to be utilised in the Master Location Expand/Contract function.

It would be helpful to be able to modify the Master Location
Expand/Contract lists to include more countries and counties, in
addition to the existing limited collection. For myself, I would like to
add the Northern Ireland counties, the Australian states and the New
Zealand provincial codes. This would save a whole lot of search/replace
actions.

Does anyone have experience or advice in this area?
