Aha!  I definitely did NOT look at the options available when importing my
GEDCOM into Legacy and your thoughts/suggestion make good sense.
Fortunately, I haven't input any new data into Legacy so wiping the slate
clean and importing a new GEDCOM is no problem.  I would even be willing to
sort through each of my 3,000 or so individuals if necessary to make sure
location/description information goes to the right place.
